A super simple tofu tikka masala recipe served with basmati rice and homemade naans ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ For the naans, I used my recipe here! I really recommend you give it a try!

  • -firm tofu 250 (g)
  • -yellow onion 1
  • -fresh ginger 10 (g)
  • -garlic 1 (clove)
  • -tikka masala spices 1 (tbsp)
  • -basmati rice 140 (g)
  • -Crushed tomatoes 200 (mL)
  • -soy cream 250 (mL)
  • -neutral oil 1 (tbsp)
Marinade
  • -toasted sesame oil 20 (mL)
  • -maple syrup 20 (mL)
  • -soy sauce 20 (mL)
  • -balsamic vinegar 1 (tbsp)

  • Prepare the tofu: tear the tofu into large chunks. Mix them in a bowl with the marinade and spices.
  • Peel the onion, ginger, and garlic. Chop them.
  • In a pot of water, cook the rice.
  • In another saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil and sautรฉ the onion in it. Add the ginger and garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Add the tofu and grill for 4-5 minutes.
  • Deglaze with the crushed tomatoes, then add the soy cream. Bring to a boil, season, and set aside.
  • Drain the rice. Set aside.
  • Serve the tikka masala with rice and one naan per person.

NotesFor a gluten-free version, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
