Feeling like kneading some good dough? No? But it's fun, you'll see ;-) This way, you can make your own vegan burger buns and put whatever you want inside!
Because it's nice to offer you recipes for butternut burgers and other red bean patties... But if we don't tell you how to make your buns, you won't be happy, right? Because we know you love making things homemade, but we also know you don't want to spend 36 hours in the kitchen. So we promise, your burgers will be ready in under 2 hours!
Mix the yeast with 60 mL of warm water and wait 5 minutes for it to rehydrate.
In your mixer (or in a mixing bowl), combine the milk with the cornstarch, add the sugar and salt, then the margarine. Add the water and yeast mixture, followed by the flour.
Knead for 10 minutes using the dough hook of your mixer (or by hand).
Preheat your oven to 50°C (122°F). Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise in your 50°C (122°F) oven for 50 minutes.
Divide into 4 dough balls and let rise for another 30 minutes in the oven, but without the towel.
Brush with melted margarine and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Increase the oven temperature to 200°C (392°F). Bake for 15 minutes at 200°C (392°F).
It's ready! Wait for them to cool down a bit and then you can fill them.
