Mango Iced Tea

Mango Iced Tea
For: 1.5 LDifficulty: EasyPreparation: 20 min

We won't dwell on the subject of the weather in recent weeks, the past is the past, let's move forward ;-) Now that it's FINALLY summer, let's talk about swimsuits, sunscreen, turquoise waters, and iced tea! Last summer, we had already refreshed you with cranberry lemonade, mint iced tea and blueberry smoothies... so here is our mango iced tea :-D

We added aloe vera gel, don't ask us why, we don't know! Be reassured, it's optional for this recipe and, if you use it, go easy on it because it's very bitter (or even disgusting if you use too much ;-) ). But we like this very strange texture (we won't try to compare it, we'll let you discover it for yourself...) and it creates little bubbles in our iced tea, and that's the main thing!

  • Heat up 1.5 L of water in a saucepan until it starts to simmer. Remove from heat, and steep the green tea leaves in the water for 5 minutes. Drain and let it cool down slightly.
  • Peel the mango and dice half of it into small pieces.
  • In your blender, blend the tea, mango, sugar, aloe vera gel, and lots of ice cubes. Make sure it's nice and cold, then serve!
