It's Sunday 🥰 Have you ever tried Croffles? They are croissants cooked in a waffle iron, an idea that comes from Seoul and has become popular as street food! But they are super easy to make at home. The night before, take your frozen croissants out and place them on parchment paper at room temperature to let them rise. The next day, grease up your waffle iron and cook each croissant for 4 minutes. You can serve them with whatever you like: here, we used store-bought coconut whipped cream and sliced strawberries. But you could also use chocolate or caramel sauce, caramelized apples, raspberries, powdered sugar, hazelnut spread… the possibilities are endless! I used frozen vegan croissants from @muscade.mtl, but there are plenty of other options out there; Arhoma’s are pretty easy to find. And if all else fails, there’s always Pillsbury in cans—I’ve never tried them, but the ingredients are vegan, even if the list is kind of odd for croissants😅 As for the coconut whipped cream, I used Gay Lea, which you can find in most supermarkets!
