I used to seriously love making sandwiches with store-bought polar bread before becoming vegan ๐Ÿ˜…But I had never made it at home! And actually, it's super easy. Just some flour, water, plant-based yogurt, baker's yeast (I used dehydrated), a little salt, and sugar!

  • -sugar 1 (tbsp)
  • -dehydrated baker's yeast 1 (tsp)
  • -all-purpose flour 250 (g)

  • Mix the dried yeast and sugar with 100 mL of lukewarm water.
  • Mix the previous mixture with the flour, salt, and plant-based yogurt. Knead the dough for a few minutes to obtain a uniform ball. Let it rest for 30 minutes under a damp cloth.
  • Cut the dough into 4 pieces and roll out the 4 small dough balls into circles about 15-20 cm in diameter. Prick each dough circle all over with a fork to create small holes. Flip them over and prick the second side as well. Let the dough circles rest at room temperature for another hour.
  • Heat a pan without any fat. Cook each bread on medium heat on both sides until slightly colored. It's ready!
