Ok, now I understand why cold brew coffee is so expensive in cafes... it really uses more coffee beans than I thought 😭😭
Cold brew, if you're not familiar, is coffee brewed with cold water. We use a filter coffee grind, so you can buy your favorite ground coffee for a filter coffee maker! We let it infuse in cold water very gently, in the fridge for 12 to 18 hours depending on your taste. The advantage of this is that the flavors extracted with cold water are more subtle, without bitterness. It's perfect for drinking chilled in the summer, just black, or with oat milk for example!
Here, I've combined it with a homemade vanilla coffee creamer, inspired by a similar drink on the Starbucks menu 😍 To make a plant-based coffee creamer, I use oat milk and enrich it with neutral-tasting coconut oil. And I jazz it up with a bit of sugar and vanilla ❤️
