Homemade Quinoa Crackers

Homemade Quinoa Crackers
For: 8-10 serv.Difficulty: EasyPreparation: 15 minCooking: 45 min

We have a lot of get-togethers around here, like several a week, so at some point, it can be cool to make your own crackers! They cost next to nothing, don't take much time, and most importantly, you can put whatever flavors you want in them 😍😍 I'm super excited to try this recipe with other herbs and spices, dried tomato flakes, vegan Parmesan, etc.!

I used the same base ingredients as in my protein bread recipe: quinoa, flaxseeds, oats, and whole wheat flour!

  • In a blender, mix the quinoa, flax seeds, and oats into a powder.
  • In a bowl, mix this powder with the flour, salt, and baking powder. Then add the water and oil, and knead lightly to form a smooth ball.
  • Preheat the oven to 360°F (185°C).
  • Between two sheets of parchment paper, roll out the dough as thinly as possible (about 1-2 mm).
  • Place on a baking sheet and remove the top parchment paper. Sprinkle all the toppings over and gently roll over them to press them into the dough.
  • With the tip of a knife or a pizza cutter, pre-cut small squares across the entire dough.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, making sure everything is dry. If it's not dry enough, it won't store well and will become soft!
  • When they're cooked and cooled, break the little crackers apart by hand! Store them in a jar for up to a month!
