It's been a while, huh? We thought that maybe you missed our burgers... Or maybe you had an overdose and never want to hear about them again... in that case, we have a healthy soup for you :D 

And if you're a newbie to Potato & Corni-stuff, know that two years ago, this website was mainly focused on burgersburgers, burgers, burgers and sometimes mini-burgers or burger buns! Lots of variety... Then we had a burn-out and left it all behind to make soup. 

But today, it's the comeback, with your applause (come on, clap!), of good old-time recipes with the most classic cheeseburger: red bean patty + melted cheese sauce + tomato-pickle-lettuce + ketchup-mayo!

The steaks
  • -cooked red beans 120 (g)
  • -oat flakes 70 (g)
  • -tomato paste 1 (tbsp)
  • -Paris mushrooms 5
  • -onion 0.5
  • -olive oil 2 (tbsp)
  • -salt
  • -pepper
  • -paprika
The melted cheese
  • -soy milk 160 (mL)
  • -beer 80 (mL)
  • -tapioca starch 1 (tbsp)
  • -soy cream 50 (mL)
  • -nutritional yeast 1 (tsp)
  • -salt

  • Prepare the steaks: Peel and finely slice the onion. Slice the mushrooms. Heat the oil in a frying pan and sauté the onion. Add the mushrooms and cook until most of the vegetable water has evaporated and they start to brown.
  • Mash the beans with a fork. Mix the vegetables with the mashed beans. Add the tomato paste, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the oat flakes to form a pliable dough with your hands. Shape into 2 patties.
  • Prepare the melted cheese: heat the soy milk with the starch, beer, soy cream, malted yeast, and a pinch of salt. Whisk constantly until the sauce thickens. Thanks to the tapioca, it will form strands like melted cheese. Set aside in a bowl.
  • Brown the steaks, 4 minutes on each side, in your pan that was used for the mushrooms!
  • Toast your burger buns, halved. Garnish with the sauce of your choice, lettuce, a patty, cheese sauce, a slice of tomato, and a pickle.
