Vegan Pear Chocolate Hazelnut Crumble

Vegan Pear Chocolate Hazelnut Crumble
For: 6 serv.Difficulty: EasyPreparation: 25 minCooking: 40 min

Do you remember? A while ago, we introduced you to an awesome recipe for an apple and apricot crumble. We don't know about you, but we loved it! So, we just couldn't stop there.

This time around, we went for ingredients that everyone can agree on: pears and chocolate. The perfect combination. And, oh my, is it delicious! Plus, it's super easy and fast to make. The only risk is that you might devour the whole dish all by yourself without thinking of sharing and without considering the consequences on your belly*. But in the end, who cares right? What matters is that you (yes, you drooling behind your screen ;-) !) enjoy it!

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
  • Wash, peel, and core the fruits. Cut them into pieces.
  • In a large pot, arrange the fruits with a little bit of water at the bottom (about 2 cm high). Split the vanilla pod in half, collect the seeds and the pod, and place them in the pot.
  • Cook the fruits over low heat and covered for about ten minutes to obtain a compote.
  • The ganache: In a saucepan, heat up the soy cream. When it boils, pour it over the chocolate and mix with a whisk to achieve a beautiful, smooth ganache.
  • The crumble dough: Mix together the flour, brown sugar, and hazelnut powder. Add the margarine and incorporate it with your little hands to obtain a homogeneous and sandy dough that crumbles easily.
  • Lightly grease your gratin dish with a dab of margarine. At the bottom of the dish, place half of the applesauce, then pour the ganache and cover with the remaining applesauce. Crumble the dough on top to cover the dish.
  • Bake for 30 minutes and enjoy ;-) !
