I was inspired by meat böreks to create a version with grated tofu that’s well-seasoned and tender 😍 We absolutely loved this dish — I think I might make it again tonight!
For the filling, I used tofu that I grated — I love this technique for “ground meat” style dishes. It’s sautéed with an onion, Cajun spices, and chili. This filling is then placed on sheets of phyllo dough that you roll up — it’s super easy! Easier than folding triangle böreks if you’re just starting out. And I served everything over a thick cream… yuuuum. It’s a perfect vegan meal for hosting or treating yourself to a cozy, indulgent night in.
