Vegan Orange Spritz Cookies

Vegan Orange Spritz Cookies
For: 15 cookiesDifficulty: MediumPreparation: 15 minCooking: 20 minFridge: 50 min

I already shared my vegan spritz cookie recipe earlier this year, which I love! And for the holidays, I wanted to add this orange version in a small size to my Christmas cookie boxes 😍 It’s a really simple recipe with few ingredients; you just need a piping bag and 30 minutes in the freezer to get those beautiful ruffled shapes!

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar and orange zest, rubbing them together with your fingers. Add the margarine and whisk until you get a creamy texture.
  • Pour the plant-based milk and whisk again to incorporate. Add the flour and a pinch of salt, and mix one last time. You’ll get a rather soft dough.
  • Using a piping bag fitted with a large, fluted nozzle, pipe 15 beautiful cookies onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Then, place the baking sheet in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 355°F. Bake for about 18 minutes, or until the edges start to brown.
  • In a double boiler, melt the chocolate with the oil (the oil helps to smooth the chocolate). Dip half of each cookie into the melted chocolate and place them back on the baking sheet to harden in the fridge for 20 minutes. They’re ready!
