  • -all-purpose flour 200 (g)
  • -sugar 50 (g)
  • -baking powder 0.5 (sachet)
  • -dark chocolate 270 (g)
  • -plant-based margarine 100 (g)
  • -applesauce 3 (tbsp)
  • -soy milk 150 (mL)

  • Prepare your soft hearts: Bring the vegetable cream to a boil and pour it over 70g of chocolate. Stir to obtain a smooth ganache, then pour it into an ice cube tray to make 6 ganache hearts. Freeze for at least 3 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C or 395°F. Melt 200g of chocolate with the margarine in the microwave or using a double boiler.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, and sugar. Pour in the melted chocolate. Mix and then add the applesauce and finish with the soy milk, whisking it all together. You should end up with a smooth cake batter.
  • Divide half of the batter among 6 previously greased molds. Add the frozen ganache hearts in the center, and then cover with the remaining cake batter.
  • Bake for 25 minutes. Enjoy your warm chocolate lava cakes ;) You can keep them for 3 days in the fridge, but you'll need to microwave them a bit before eating!
